What service times are available at Eden Valley Crematorium?

One of our priorities is for those using our facilities to feel calm and unrushed. Eden Valley Crematorium usually operates on weekdays only, Monday to Friday, and our usual service time options are 11:00am, 12:30pm and 2:00pm. If you have different requirements then please call us to discuss what may be possible.

How much does it cost to have a cremation service at Eden Valley Crematorium?

We offer a service and cremation from £975.00 and an unattended or direct cremation (with no service) from £550.00.

Eden Valley Crematorium has a specially designed audio visual system which means that we can develop visual tributes from your photographs and music and we can also offer webcasts for remote family members. There is an additional cost for these services.

Is the Crematorium easily accessible?

One of the big advantages of Eden Valley Crematorium is its location. Not only are we in a beautiful setting with views of the Eden valley and the North Pennines but we are also easily accessible from the M6 motorway and the main A66 route.

Once at the crematorium, we are fully accessible to those with impaired mobility and wheelchair users and there is a hearing loop and other specialist equipment in the Chapel for services.

Is there plenty of parking at Eden Valley Crematorium?

Definitely. We are in a rural setting with parking for plenty of cars on site, not only in our marked car park but also in an extension alongside when required.

Do you work with other local suppliers or would I have to find my own florist, celebrant and cars?

Your funeral director will probably be able to advise on these things but we are always happy to signpost to local companies who we know from experience will provide a sensitive and excellent service.

What sorts of cremation options do you offer at Eden Valley Crematorium?

Cremation is increasingly the option chosen by many people for their funeral. We will work with you and your undertaker/funeral director to create exactly the service that you want at the crematorium and then to ensure that the ashes are stored or distributed as you request.

What is an unattended or direct cremation?

Accepted Answer

An unattended or direct cremation is exactly what it says and these have become much more frequent in recent years as people have chosen – themselves or their families – to conduct a cremation separately from any gathering or act of remembrance. If you are considering this option, you need to know that you can trust the crematorium team to conduct every aspect with all the care you’d expect – and you can trust us to do that.
